As a performing cellist, Oliver has appeared with numerous groups in the metropolitan NY area over the years. These have included the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ*, Ridgewood Symphony's Project Symphony*, Bloomfield Symphony, Society of Musical Arts, South Orange Symphony, Columbia-Barnard Symphony, West Orange Collegiate Music Association, the Essex County Summer Players Orchestra*^, and the 9/11 Benefit Orchestra (Stephen Stiller Tunnel to Towers Foundation).
He is also the cellist of Radiance Chamber Ensemble, performing for diverse audiences in northern NJ.
Additionally, he has performed in a number of pit orchestras for musical theater (West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Little Night Music), as featured soloist for Holocaust Remembrance memorial events, as Assisting Artist for the Young People's Philharmonic, and performs with small chamber ensembles in concerts (sharing the stage with a variety of performers such as Metropolitan Opera tenor Ronald Naldi and violinist Farkhad Khudyev) and at private events. In recent years he has also enjoyed providing cello tracks on indie song recordings for artists like Jimmy Destri, Nick Santini, Blake Wynia, and others.
